Dinner Reception & "The Largest Ice Cream Party in America"
Thursday, October 12 | 4:30 PM -8:30 PM | Give Kids The World Village
This year's charity partner is Give Kids The World Village, which is an 89-acre, nonprofit "storybook" resort in Central Florida. Here, children with critical illnesses and their families are treated to weeklong, cost-free vacations. Join us as we tour the park, hold our Thursday night dinner in the Village's Hoppenin' Place, and host the largest ice cream party in America down the main avenue.
This celebratory party takes place during the Village's weekly "Holiday Party" and will feature thousands of lights and snowflakes, characters, games, and of course - ice cream!
Schedule of Events
- 4:00 PM - 4:30 PM: Buses depart Rosen Shingle Creek
- 4:45 PM - 5:30 PM: Buses arrive at Give Kids the World; Upon arrival: Tour breakouts
- 5:30 PM - 6:45 PM: IAICDV Dinner Reception in Hoppenin' Place (HP)
- 6:45 PM - 7:00 PM: IAICDV volunteers to take their places
- 7:00 PM - 8:00 PM: Ice Cream Party on The Avenue
- 7:45 PM - 8:00 PM: Buses depart Give Kids the World Village to transport guests back to Rosen Shingle Creek
Volunteer Opportunities
We are looking for volunteers to help out during the Ice Cream Party from 7-8pm ET. We need volunteers to pass out ice cream to attendees and to assist with the kids games/activities. Please visit the IAICDV Registration & Information Desk if you are interested in volunteering.
